In February 2026, Tigran Tatevosyan brings his music to the stage with a series of live performances across Europe, presenting his debut album Mer Tan Itev, alongside new material performed with his trio.
The armenian-born pianist Tigran Tatevosyan has been nominated for the German Jazz Award 2025 as Newcomer of the Year.
With his debut album ‘Mer Tan Itev’ (‘Behind Our House’), he has emerged as an authentic storyteller with a new yet mature voice. He is influenced by both the treasures of Armenian musical tradition and the contemporary energy of modern jazz.
"I hope this album offers people the feeling of being connected on a deeper level and being part of something bigger,'' says Tigran.
The program features Tigran’s original compositions inspired by Armenian folk music and modern jazz, as well as arrangements of Armenian folk songs, and besides the Trio format includes solo performances as well.
Tigran's second single "Brilliant Corners" is the only jazz standard arrangement featured on his upcoming album "Mer Tan Itev."
Sharing a personal interpretation of Thelonious Monk's work, it brings a different musical world to the jazz standard tradition. "Mer Tan Itev" is scheduled for release on June 28th.
